Catch Up
Here's a quick catch up on the last few weeks:
Last weekend I took advantage of my last Friday off and went an a 21 mile bike ride, Saturday I went on a 12 mile bike ride, and Sunday Jim and I went to the coast to go to the antique shops. It was pouring down rain and we got soaked when loading the table Jim bought into the back of the truck. We dried out by the time we got to Tillamook so we stopped for yummy ice cream.
2 weekends ago I went on my first rainy bike ride and found out that my formerly water proof windbreaker is no longer water proof. I then went to the Fabric Depot for the $1.99 pattern and 40% off all fabric sale. It was very crowded but I still bought the limit on patterns :) Sunday Jim and I hiked through Ape Cave and had lots of fun making fun of each other with our headlamps on.
Paul and Ammon came to visit on October 1st. We did a bunch of touristy stuff and had lots of fun!
Here's Paul & Ammon at "that mountain that's also a volcano" (Mt St Helens):
Here they are goofing off in Ape Cave:
And here they are at "the Goonies stuff" (Cannon Beach):
I didn't realize that Ammon had never seen the Pacific Ocean before and it was great fun watching him take photos of his foot in the ocean and picking up sand dollars. We also went to Powell's Books and they were both so overwhelmed at the sheer amount of books that I thought they were going to have strokes.
On a crafty note, I started a new cross stitch that I will post photos of as soon as I'm finished. Maybe with the colder weather I will get the urge to knit or crochet again.
