Vampires

The vampires got me again yesterday.....I had to have fluid drained out of my thyroid cyst again and now I look like I've been bitten by a vampire. :) The choking feeling I've had for the last month is a little better and I'm crossing my fingers it doesn't come back again.

I've been at home recovering (I know its not that serious but it makes my neck sore and I'm milking it for everything I can get!) and I've been bored so I started some Christmas knitting projects. I won't reveal them here since some of my family reads this blog but everybody will be nice and warm when I'm done. :)

Snowy Morning

This is what my view looked like this morning. It was the first time in over 10 years that I woke up to snow on the ground and I found it very pretty but also very cold! I am no longer used to the cold and I'm missing my home right now. I got to go home last week for Thanksgiving and the weather was warm enough to wear shorts in the afternoon. The stinky boys and the stinky dog are fine and they even all got cleaned up for Thanksgiving dinner :)

The weather outside was frightful

Ok, its not snowing but it is getting colder and has been very rainy. I can't quite get the heat in the apartment right so I decided to put the fireplace to good use. I love the smell of the fire and the temperature is just right :)

Knitting again

I've finally started knitting again! 2 guys at work are expecting their first babies soon so I decided to try knitting baby blankets instead of crocheting. I have to say that I like the way this one is turning out and the pattern in very easy!

In other news, I got to go home to Arizona for a week and it was glorious! I didn't have much free time since I had to go to a training class the whole time but I did have time to go out to dinner with a few friends, catch up with my brothers, and the best part of all was sleeping in my own bed! I came back to Oregon to find the rainy season in full swing which is a bit of a drag but I'm getting used to it.
